How to Create a Ticket in Jira
IT Services Space — Quick Guide for All Staff

This short guide shows you how to submit a request to the IT team by creating a ticket in the
IT Services space in Jira. Following these steps helps IT understand your request quickly and respond faster.

Step-by-Step Instructions

| 1. Open the IT Services board, then click the blue + Create button at the top of the screen. |
| 2. A window titled Create Request opens. |
| 3. Check Space is set to IT Services (ITS). |
| 4. Leave Work type as Request. |
| 5. Leave Status as Open (set automatically). |
| 6. Type a clear Summary (a short title). Required. |
| 7. Add a Description of your issue or request. |
| 8. (Optional) Fill any extra fields that are useful — e.g. Attachment, Priority, or Due date. You can leave the rest as they are. |
| 9. Click the blue Create button to submit. |
